Your summary of season 3
YouSeason 3 picks up where Season 2 left off, with Joe driving to suburban life with his wife Love and baby Henry.. The couple is determined to put their murderous past behind them, but everyone knows it's unlikely to work out for either of them.
Living in the quiet town of Madre Linda (Sweet Mother) would never sit well with the man from the city, Joe. Disliking fatherhood and convinced that his son hates him, he is aggravated by his mother-in-law's shaman's insistence that Henry is the reincarnation of his dead son, Forty. Joe can't help but become obsessed with other women, the first of season 3 being the neighbor Natalie. When Love runs to her mother's house when she and Joe have a fight one night, Natalie invites Joe out for a drink. She seems equally interested in romance and kisses him. However, she refuses the sex, showing some kind of loyalty to Love, this time.
Love is also unhappy in Madre Linda. Condescending influencer mom Sherry Conrad befriends her and introduces her obnoxious friends of hers, who proceed to fake baby Love's weight and offer unsolicited parenting advice. At a party, she later overhears them gossiping about her, only to be comforted by Natalie. When Love talks about her dream of opening a bakery, the realtor reveals that she has what it takes.
However, Natalie's days are numbered when Love discovers that Joe has a crush on her: he keeps a Natalie-themed trophy box that Love finds while unpacking the boxes. Later, when Natalie shows Love an empty bakery, Love plunges an ax through her throat, defeating her first opponent of the season.
Joe and Love enter marriage counseling, code-speaking with therapist Dr. Chandra about what's wrong with their marriage. Joe is really mad that Love murdered Natalie and he has to dispose of her body, he just can't say it out loud. Joe heads to a light-hearted after-therapy at the library, where he bumps into Marienne, his soon-to-be crush. On her way home, Love bumps into the cocky Theo in a parking lot, and the gender studies major doesn't let her marriage or her baby get in the way of a scandalous flirtation. It turns out that Natalie was married and Theo is the stepson of her husband Matthew from her first marriage.
At another block party, Joe and Love discover that Natalie's husband Matthew has designed a ring that could track the wearer's location; if Natalie were still wearing it, her body would be easy to find. Digging up his body, Joe locates the ring and throws it into a nearby public restroom. He and Love then transfer his body to a construction site where concrete is poured over it and they get into another big argument.

Informing their therapist (leaving out the murderous details) about their latest argument, the couple agree that there will be fewer deaths. Joe suggests that they build a new cage in the basement of the bakery, where they will go to avoid murderous urges. Meanwhile, Natalie's husband, Matthew, is clearly devastated by the disappearance of his wife, and the press is prying. Joe and Love decide they need to frame Matthew for the murder, but are left out when Henry becomes seriously ill with measles.
Joe also becomes seriously ill with measles and collapses while trying to plant evidence of Natalie's murder at Matthew's house. He freaks out when he wakes up on the couch with Matthew, who instantly questions him about the whereabouts of his wife. Realizing that Matthew is a really nice guy and a great dad, Joe and Love scrap plans to frame him and need a plan B. Matthew walks into Love's store in the form of Gil. When he visits the bakery and confesses to being an anti-vaxxer whose daughters gave Henry measles, Love begins to hatch a plan.
Dragging him into the cage, Love plans to kill Gil and frame him for Natalie's murder. However, when Joe asks him to reconsider, the plan goes ahead and Gil hangs himself there and dies anyway. During the search for Natalie, Love breaks away from the crowd and plants the ax he used to kill Natalie, emblazoned with Gil's fingerprints, in the woods. With the search party in full swing, Joe moves Gil's body to his own home, with a prepared letter admitting Natalie's death.
Six months later, Love is much happier with life as Mother Linda, and the bakery is very successful. Meanwhile, Joe is bored with not having any friends and increasingly obsessed with Marienne. As a distraction from his life and frequent arguments with Love, Joe agrees to go camping with Cary, Momfluencer Sherry's husband. There is a moment when Joe, expecting to hate the whole trip, finally feels accepted by a group and breaks down in tears.

Back at Mother Linda, Theo is obsessed with Love, who keeps him at arm's length. However, with Joe out of her, she agrees to go for a scooter ride with him. When he admits to failing college because he can't stop thinking about her, Love relents and has sex with him. Later, she is horrified to learn that while she was playing with Theo, she missed Henry taking her first steps. Joe returns from his camping trip with his eyes on Marienne; he promises himself that if he goes after her, this time he will be different.
Meanwhile, Matthew doesn't believe the theory about his wife and Gil at all, and still suspects that something isn't quite right with his new neighbors. By placing Love and Joe under secret surveillance in an attempt to find out what happened to Natalie, his suspicions that they might be connected to her death grow stronger. Theo is irritated when he finds out what his father is up to, and when Love is at a work conference and calls him drunk, Theo arrives on the scene to come clean.
Joe discovers that Marienne is in the middle of a custody battle with former partner and reporter Ryan. Ryan's wealth means he is well positioned to win custody of his daughter Juliette. His dream future is to start a new life in Paris with Juliette, and she entrusts this vision of her future to Joe. While Joe is busy with his new romance, Love begins an affair with Theo to get information on what Matthew knows.
Love and Joe attend a gala that Marienne is also attending, which obviously upsets Joe. The night is interrupted when they discover that Love's drunken mother, Dottie, has stolen Henry from her nanny. Not receiving the vineyard she owned from her, in a divorce settlement with her ex-husband, hit her hard. For some reason, she decided to take Henry to Casa Gia to burn it down.

Love cuts Dottie out of her life, who is ordered to go to rehab. Joe learns for the first time that Love's husband was in remission from his cancer when he died, and realizes for the first time the extent of his wife's dangerous nature. Matthew is seen watching Joe and Love through the cameras he has placed throughout the city; he has a dedicated room to sit in and keep track of his whereabouts.
In a twist no one expected, Sherry and Cary announce that they have an open marriage and want to date Love and Joe. Joe has no interest in that, but Love is really down for it. He agrees because he worries what his volatile wife might do if she refuses. Sherry and Cary arrive for a night of swinging festooned with sex toys, and Sherry and Love bond, leaving Joe and Cary together.
In the midst of the antics, Love has a jealous rage and drags Joe out of the room to hiss at him about fantasizing about murdering other people. Horrified that Sherry and Cary overheard her, Joe suggests they meet up and see how the other couple reacts. When they meet again, Sherry and Cary try to act cool, but it's obvious from their sly demeanor that they've heard every word. After a fight, Sherry and Cary go to the cage.
With the Conrads in the bakery basement, Joe must decide what to do with them. He is also concerned about Marienne, whom he has not heard from for some time after she loses custody of Juliette. When Joe finally finds her, he convinces her that he wants to leave Love with her and that they can build a life together. Love learns from Theo at this point that Matthew is becoming more unhinged and hacks into security cameras everywhere in an attempt to find anything on the Goldbergs.

Learning that Marienne plans to follow Ryan and Juliette, who have moved to New Jersey, Joe decides that he is fed up with Ryan getting in his way and kills him. Love decides that the only way to get Matthew to leave them alone is to denounce him as a major stalker. Writing a blog post about her and Joe's bullying, the town goes into an uproar and insists that Matthew stop bullying them, which she does.
Theo decides to look at some of the footage his dad had, and when he sees Joe getting into Natalie's car, he decides to show it to Love. Going to the bakery, he goes down to the basement thinking that there she is... Finding the Conrads, they explain everything to him, and he goes upstairs to try to find the key to the cage to free them, but is intercepted. For love. Despite knowing the truth, Theo begs Love to run away with him. She responds by hitting him over the head with a fire extinguisher and throwing him into the basement with the Conrads.
At the end of the season, Joe plans to go to Paris with Marienne and fulfill his dreams. We find out that Theo is still alive, and when Joe discovers this, he rushes him to the hospital instead of finishing him off. Love learns that Joe killed Ryan for Marienne and is heartbroken that her husband is in love with someone else. Confronting Joe about all of this, he asks for a divorce from her.
As Love leaves the room to see Henry crying, Joe grabs a carving knife nearby. One step ahead of him, Amor anticipated her actions and tied the hilt with monkshood, the same paralytic who had sent away her first husband. Joe stands still and Love uses her phone to text Marienne and ask her out of it. With a knife in her back, Love tells Marienne that Joe is dangerous and to grab her daughter and run from her; she leaves and that is the last we see of her. In another surprise escape, the Conrads also make it out of the cage alive.
As always, smart Joe is one step ahead of his wife. He found out that she was growing monkshood in the garden to turn into monkshood. Therefore, she prepared preparatory antidotes in case she ever needed them. Anticipating that his wife would poison him when he filed for divorce, Joe had already taken the antidote, and when it worked, he was ready to face Love. He ended the series by injecting her with a lethal dose of his own monkshood.

What happens to Love at the end of You season 3?
Love dies in the end.Yousession 3. Sinking into poison-induced paralysis, she tells Joe that they were perfect for each other but no good for Henry.
With his actions leading up to seeing him in a prison cell, Joe now needs to leave quickly. Before leaving, he creates a crime scene that makes Love's death look like an accident. He cuts off two toes to make it look like he and his wife had a violent fight, before setting the house on fire. He staged the scene to make it look like Love killed him and then took her own life.
Meanwhile, Theo is released from the hospital and begins to rebuild his relationship with Matthew. Sherry and Cary put their experience to good use and publish a high-profile book about how they got caught by the killers and managed to escape. Joe is last seen heading to Paris, presumably to find Marienne. However, with Season 4 being set in London, we may find out that he either failed or killed her.

What happens to Joe and Love's baby?
Joe leaves Henry with his colleague Dante and his partner Lansing.Before leaving, she writes a note explaining why she is leaving him and takes her son to Dante's house to raise him without him.
Joe can't take Henry with him as that would slow him down and slow him down. He also doesn't want his child to grow up in care like he did; he hates the idea of Henry also having a terrible childhood. He promises Henry that he won't leave him forever, which means he might try to come back in the future to find him.
